Oxide based tapes gain moisture over time and can become moldy. We are experts at Tape
Mold Mitigation and Subsequent Transfer: VHS, VHS-C, Betamax & Betacam 1”, 2” reels, ¾”
Umatic, VHS, VHS-C, Betamax & Betacam Video Tapes and Audio Reels, Cassettes etc. with
mold. The process includes “baking” and cleaning tapes that suffer from mold. (see attached

They can also suffer from Mold. It is much more difficult to salvage a moldy EM tape than it is
an Oxide based tape. Sometimes it’s even impossible. However, if anyone can do it, we can.
